Attaching your SonicTV playlist
Open the IBO playlist management page and sign in with the MAC / Device ID and Device Key shown in your application. Once inside you have two ways to add SonicTV:
Add Playlist (M3U streaming line)
Choose Add Playlist when all you have is a long streaming line. Give it a name — "SonicTV" works — paste the line into the Playlist URL field, leave the XMLTV EPG field empty so the guide comes from the playlist itself, and optionally tick Protect this playlist to set a PIN. Save.
Add XC Playlist (Xtream Codes login)
Choose Add XC Playlist if you were given a host, a username and a password separately. The fields match the previous method with one addition: Host, which is the server address from your credentials email. Save, and the list appears on your device.
Make the Live TV screen readable
By default the Live TV layout crowds channel names under the preview window. From the dashboard, select the screen icon next to the Wi-Fi symbol, switch the Live Screen Style to the alternative layout and save. Channel names gain space, the mini preview and the guide line up properly, and the categories come back with the left arrow on your remote.
Useful habits once you are running
- Long-press any channel and choose Add to build a favourites list — hockey, news and kids channels in one place.
- Use the search inside Live TV rather than scrolling 19,800 entries.
- Set parental control from Settings if children share the television.
- Clear the cache from Settings if artwork stops loading after a long session.
- Leave Auto boot on start enabled so the app opens with the television.
IBO Player is licensed separately by its developer after a short evaluation period; the licence is a one-off purchase made directly in the app and is not part of your SonicTV plan. The FAQ explains how that sits alongside your subscription, and the pricing page shows what the subscription itself costs.
Rather not do any of this yourself? Send a message from the contact page and an advisor will complete the activation with you, screen by screen. Once it is running, the channel list is a good map of where everything lives.
